What Christmas carol is sung in the desert? – O Camel ye faithful!

What’s the best kind of Christmas present? – A broken drum, you just can’t beat it!
Why did Father Christmas go to music school? – To improve his wrapping!

Merry Christmas everybody!! It’s the beginning of the last week of term here at The Music Place and we’re seeing 2017 out with a bang! Firstly, huge congratulations to all our Trinity Rock and Pop exam candidates who received their results last week; the marks were fantastic across the board, and we couldn’t be prouder. Well done everyone! All the best to our ABRSM candidates who will be taking their exams on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Last week, ‘The Music Place Supports’ brought a joyful Christmas singalong to care homes within our local community. The event was a huge success; thanks to everyone who donated and to those who took part. Look out for our next charitable project in the new year!

Whilst our dedicated choir were bringing the festive spirit to local care homes, a collection of our fabulous solo vocalists ensured the cheer also reached Altrincham Twilight Market! Thanks to all our singers for a wonderful evening.

Last night was the last Bands Night of the year and the Music Place bands took to the stage to see off the year in style. We had performances from the very talented Low Work Ethic, Full Volume, Scheduled Chaos, The Skywalkers, Invincible Cat, Hold it Down, Pack Down and The Silver Lining. If those names aren’t enough to intrigue you, I don’t know what is!

Vibrant Voices are also looking forward to their annual Christmas party to be held at The Cinnamon Club this Wednesday; with a Christmas meal and live band to accompany the singing, it’s sure to be great fun!

Thank you to everyone who has made this year such a success for The Music Place; we look forward to seeing you in 2018!

Merry Christmas!!
