Happy belated Mothers’ Day everyone! This weekend, we wanted to celebrate

all the wonderful mums in Altrincham.
Well, we asked and The Music Place
Choir provided, with their usual fabulous flare! The afternoon began with The
Music Place Choir taking market-goers by surprise with one of their trademark
flash mobs in market house. Ushered in with a solo performance from the
wonderful Alison Owen, The Music Place choir burst into song to the
astonishment and delight of the unsuspecting market-goers! Still in song, the
choir processed through Altrincham Market and gathered on the stage o’straw
to perform a number of apt mothers’ day tunes, including ‘All you need is love’ and ‘He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother’…sorry… ‘She ain’t heavy, she’s my Mother.’ The afternoon was a huge success, thanks to everyone who
performed and to Clare, Alison and Richard for performing with, and running,
the choir! Check out the video on Facebook and Twitter!

As if this wasn’t enough for one Sunday, we also welcomed a number of our
wonderful music place students to Singers’ Night on Sunday evening! Hosted
by John, The Music Place’s answer to Bob Harris (minus the whispering), a
warm and welcoming audience flocked to The Cinnamon Club to watch what
transpired to be a wonderful evening of music, with some truly staggering
talent on display. Thanks to everyone who performed, you were all fantastic!

We’ll look out for you all in the charts very soon.

Have a lovely week everyone!
